Summer Reading

Registration

  • Registration begins May 22.
  • Registration ends July 1.
  • Register at the Library, Kick Off Event on May 30th, or any of the Tuesday Performances.
  • Pick up your bags when you register. Each bag comes with a reading log, bookmark, pencil, and sticker.

Reading

  • Ages 2 to 5: Read 25 books or have them read to you
  • Ages 6 to 11: Read for 25 hours
  • Teens 12 to 18: Read for 25 hours
  • Adults: Read for 25 hours

Completion

Turn in your logs when you finish for your awesome t-shirt, completion certificate, and name to go into the grand prize drawing! Grand Prize drawings will be on August 1 at our End of Summer Celebration.

Weekly Summer Programs

Ages 0 - 5 - Wednesdays @ 10:00 am

Ages 6 - 11 - Thursdays @ 10:00 am

Ages 12 - 16 - Mondays @ 10:00 am

Young Adults - Mondays @ 5:30 pm 

Everyone - Fridays @ 2:00 pm - Movie and Popcorn

Special Summer Programs

June 5 - B.Y.O.Book @ Neighbors Place Winery @ 5:30

June 6 - Workforce Solutions will be at the library till 1 with a booth of information, a wheel of prizes, and a VR of careers

June 6 - We will have Texas Tuition Promise hosting a webinar about securing a college tuition fund at 4:00 pm.

June 26 - BookTok Review @ 6:00 pm

June 30 - Kamica King will be here for a concert @ 10:00 am

July 15 - We will have Texas Tuition Promise hosting an in-person information session about securing a college tuition fund at 9:00 am.

July 18 - Workforce Solutions will be here for our Middle School and High School students.  She will have several VRs to play with to examine different career paths.
