Homeschool Hangout
Homeschool Hangout is a great time to connect with other Homeschool families. Homeschool Hangout is at 2:30 pm on the 2nd Thursday of the month. Since homeschooling covers such a wide variety of ages we will have activities that are more geared toward their ability and interest levels.
We also have a section dedicated just to our Homeschool Families in the back corner of the Library. This section consists of materials and manipulatives for our families to use as needed. New material is added frequently so make sure you are continually checking to see what we have.
Teen Library Council
The Bonham Public Library is creating a Teen Library Council (TLC) made up of teen volunteers (Grades 8 through 12) who are interested in being part of the library's programs and services aimed at their peers.
The TLC's goal is to promote library services to tweens and teens in the community at the Bonham Public Library by:
- Advising, planning and implementing teen programs.
- Consulting on design of the Teen website.
- Writing articles, reviews and creative works for the Teen website.
- Promoting ideas, reading, programming and expression by and for teens by creating displays in the Young Adult (YA) area.
- Recommending books, graphic novels, movies, and magazines for the YA collection.

- Assist, plan and participate in library programs, and volunteer for various library projects
2.How much time commitment is required?
- 3.What do I get out of it?
